New Sacred Heart Primary in Girvan

Welcome to the public consultation for the new Sacred Heart Primary in Girvan.

In light of recent developments surrounding the COVID-19 virus and the associated government guidance, we have launched this online consultation as a public exhibition/event cannot feasibly take place.

Preparations for the new school are well underway, the contractor, Morrison Construction, have started demolition of the old school and clearing the site ready for the building work to begin in Spring 2021. A number of primary 5 pupils and the Head Teacher visited the site recently and were delighted to see the progress. The designs for the new school are also progressing very well with the accommodation over 2 floors with more open and flexible spaces for staff and children to use. The designs have already been shared with the Head Teacher and the Parent Council and the purpose of this consultation is to allow further engagement with staff, children and the community so we can continue to further develop the proposals to reflect your views as much as possible.
