Safer Shores fun in the sun for the Jubilee!

Safer Shores 2022 is here in time for the Jubilee holiday, and we're working in partnership with Abellio ScotRail, British Red Cross, British Transport Police, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, North Ayrshire Council, Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, and Scottish Fire and Rescue to make sure that we can all make the most of a fantastic summer on Ayrshire's beaches.

The purpose of Safer Shores is to ensure that everyone who visits the Ayrshire coast during the Jubilee and the 'beach season' can get here safely, has a fantastic visitor experience, and continue to come back and enjoy all that the Ayrshire coast has to offer.

Safer Shores partners work together to ensure that everyone can enjoy a fantastic day out at the beach with no alcohol, no antisocial behaviour - just fun in the sun.

This means there will be alcohol bans on trains running to and from the Ayrshire coast; extra Police Scotland and British Transport Police patrols on trains, in and around train stations, and on the beaches; increased community safety, environmental and Coastguard patrols; and enforcement of the no alcohol by-law in public places - including beaches.

By doing this, we can ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable day out in Ayrshire.

Come along and join us this summer - #AyrshireSaferShores style.
