What are the benefits of the new system for me as a South Ayrshire resident?

I drove past the site and it doesn't look busy, why can't I just drive in?

The booking system ensures a constant flow of traffic through the sites and reduces congestion. In order to ensure that only South Ayrshire residents have access to the recycling centres, we need to ensure that all users of the sites have a valid booking. You can book a slot one hour in advance if there is availability.

I booked a slot using my car registration, but I am now borrowing someone else's car, what do I do?

Please contact us on 0300 123 0900. If it is the weekend, please proceed to the site for your allocated time slot and a site attendant will verify your booking using your name and the vehicle registration used to book the slot.

How early should I arrive before my slot?

Please do not arrive early for your slot as this can cause traffic build up at the recycling sites. Please arrive as close to your allocated time as possible.

How much time do I get during my slot?

Each booking slot is valid for 20 minutes.
