Open map data
South Ayrshire Council's open map data site is intended to provide map-based data for public use. It aims to bring council-created map (spatial) data together in one place, organise them, and where appropriate make it available for personal use.
South Ayrshire Council is making this map data available under the INSPIRE Regulations 2009 which requires South Ayrshire Council to licence the Supplied Data on the terms set out in the Public Sector End User Licence.
Accessibility
Every effort has been made to meet the needs of people with visual impairment or other conditions that limit accessibility. Due to the highly graphical nature of maps, the geographic information on this site cannot always be presented in an accessible format though many of the interactive mapping applications available on this site now support keyboard controls for the map to improve accessibility. The information presented on these maps is also available in accessible formats either elsewhere on this site or directly from the Council.
System requirements
The interactive mapping applications on this site have been developed and tested on all modern browsers including Internet Explorer 9.0 or later, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. They have been designed to work on a range of devices including PCs, Macs, mobile phones and tablets.
Please be aware that while South Ayrshire Council has designed these applications for users on a broadband/3G internet connection, the maps are generated as images using the our interactive mapping system and it may still take several seconds to download each map image.

The interactive mapping applications include mapping data licensed from Ordnance Survey with the permission of the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationery Office. © Crown copyright and/or database right 2014.
