South Ayrshire Housing Need and Demand Assessment 2021-2026
The Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA) is produced every five years to ensure housing in South Ayrshire reflects demand.
Consultation on our Draft HNDA for the period 2021-2026 has now closed. Feedback received will be used to develop the Local Housing Strategy as well as future Local Development Plans, and could be used to inform:
- Decisions about new build housing development
- The type of housing being built and which needs this housing should meet
- How we respond to homelessness
- How we and our partners meet the housing needs of people with particular needs, including people with disabilities and older people
You can view the consultative draft version of the HNDA (PDF) [4MB] , and a Consultative Draft summary version of the HNDA (PDF) [539KB] . Final versions of these documents and supporting documentation will be uploaded here following approval of the HNDA by Elected Members and the Scottish Government.
Information can be made available on request in braille, large print or audio formats, and can be translated into a range of languages - call South Ayrshire Council Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 0900 for information.
