NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR APPEAL UNDER THE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2015

An application for appeal under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 Section 88(2) has been made to the Scottish Ministers in writing in accordance with the Asset Transfer Request (Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 2016.   

The application for appeal has been made by Dundonald Gymnastics Club SCIO Charity No. SC048271, 4 Esk Road, Troon, South Ayrshire KA10 7EH (the "community transfer body") in respect of the decision by South Ayrshire Council not to allow the community transfer body to purchase Muirhead Activity Centre and car park, 59 Central Avenue, Troon, KA10 7AZ.

Copies of any representations previously made to South Ayrshire Council in relation to the asset transfer request will be provided to the Scottish Ministers and the community transfer body and will be taken into consideration in the determination of the appeal.

Any party who previously made representations may make further representations to the Scottish Ministers. A representation must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. Copies of any representations received will be provided to the community transfer body and to South Ayrshire Council.

Asset Transfer Request

Dundonald Gymnastics Club (DGC) SCIO SC048271 has submitted an asset transfer request to purchase the Muirhead Activity Centre and car park. 

The proposed use is for the provision of a recreational facility and organisation of recreational activities to improve participation in gymnastics, dance and exercise and the advancement of public participation in sport.  Providing access for all with the object of improving the conditions of life for people for whom the facility and activities are intended.
