Public toilets
A list of all public conveniences including those provided by private businesses through the Comfort Scheme.
From 13-15 September 2021, some of our public conveniences will become cashless. This means they will have contactless readers installed and a 30p charge will be taken via bank card or smart phone.
Prepaid cards
If you don't have a chipped bank card or a smartphone, you can request a prepaid card which will give you access. These cards cost £6, which means you will be able to use them 20 times. The card can then be topped up online as required. There is no expiry date for the balance on the prepaid card.
If you need a prepaid card, please complete the form and a card will be posted out to the address you supply. Those who are unable to complete the online form can contact customer services on 0300 123 0900 to purchase or top up the card.

Paying by cash at the following facilities will no longer be an option:
- Barassie
- St Meddans, Troon
- Links Road, Prestwick
- Arthur Street, Ayr
- Low Green, Ayr
- Blackburn, Ayr
- Dunure
- Maybole
- Harbour, Girvan.
Please note: The public toilets at Barr and Ballantrae will not be affected by this change and our accessible toilets remain free, with access via RADAR key.

Disabled toilets
For a key for the disabled toilets apply to RADAR, call 020 7250 8191. RADAR Keys give you access to all toilets for the disabled throughout the country. RADAR keys are available to purchase at all South Ayrshire customer service centres.
