The Community Safety Partnership's 'Healthy Group' co-ordinates activities relating to unintentional injuries, drugs and alcohol and antisocial behaviour and its effects on health in South Ayrshire.

The Healthy Group is chaired by a representative of the Community Health Partnership, with a SAC Senior Community Safety Officer as the Group's Support Officer.

Three joint action groups have been established. Each group develops projects using the problem solving process.

What projects have been developed?
The Partnership has developed a number of successful projects including:
- Supporting South Carrick Club Diamonds
- Rock not Roll Campaign
- Winter Safety Campaign
- Driver Awareness
- Information campaign aimed at raising awareness of preventing poisonings in young children
The Joint Action Groups are continuing to develop new and innovative projects. Links are made to the Problem Solving Co-ordination Group regarding problem solving in communities. This ensures appropriate targeting of resources and involvement of partners, while prov
