If you are a young carer, aged 8 - 18, in full time education or a care experienced young person aged 26 or under and resident in South Ayrshire or attend a South Ayrshire school you can enjoy FREE access to a fantastic range of Sport and Leisure activities throughout South Ayrshire.

Care experienced young person

If you are a Care Experienced Young Person and wish to apply for an Activ8 membership please call 0300 123 0900 or email customerservices@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.

The Activ8 membership entitles the holder to free access to a huge range of activities at the following facilities:

Activities

The Activ8 membership includes FREE access to our sport-specific Learn 2 (Swim,Dive & Gymnastics), including learn 2 swim, learn 2 dive and learn 2 gymnastics.

The membership also includes FREE access to the Schools Out! programme. If you wish to book the Schools Out programme you can register for leisure bookings.

For swimming and other pay as you go activities, simply show your card at reception or use your card to enter via the turnstiles at the Citadel.

Activity centres can be booked by calling the centre you wish to attend directly.

For children aged 12 years or under with a disability, a carer can accompany the child free of charge. Please be aware that children under 8 years are not allowed in any of the swimming pools unaccompanied.

The Activ8 membership can be used to access activities at The Quay Zone in Girvan. Once you have been issued with your general Activ8 membership, simply take your registration letter to The Quay Zone reception where you will be issued with a separate card to access their facilities.

Golf South Ayrshire courses are included in the Activ8 membership. This is issued as a separate membership and to receive this you will need to contact Golf by email SL&GAdminTeam@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.
